DIY Rope Basket

Below I will be demonstrating how to make a rope basket that is perfect for holding pencils, hair brushes, make-up tools and much more!

What you'll need:
Tie-Dye Kit                        Pencil Holder (Guide)
Knitting Yarn                     Red Solo Cup (Mold)
Hot Glue Gun                    Clothesline 100 ft (15 yards per basket)

Step ONE:
Cut 3 strings into 5 yards and then braid (Above)
Step TWO:
Hot glue ends and start coiling the rope, continue gluing in between each coil
Step THREE:
My base is measured at 3.5 inches, it hugs around my "Guide". After you make your base start coiling directly above each braid.
Step FOUR:
Continue using guide and hot gluing, start leaving the front unglued since it will be used for initialing
Step FIVE:
Make sure 5 inches of the front is not glued and glue the end to the inside of the basket
Step SIX:
Pour water and desired color dye in container..... Let basket sit for 30 minutes to an hour for a deeper color
Step SEVEN:
Place basket on Mold and leave overnight (This keeps the shape while the dye is hardening)
Step EIGHT:
Start wrapping yarn around unglued coils forming a letter
Step NINE:
Once letter is executed, hot glue all of the remaining 5 inch. open spaces

.....and Voila
Beautiful Baskets!
